Beyond the 15 immersive installations, Homo Faber 2026 invites visitors to watch master craft artists at work, try their hands at traditional Japanese crafts, savour Venetian culinary craftsmanship in bespoke restaurants and café-bars, be guided deeper into the world of making by 90 Young Ambassadors, and explore Venice with Homo Faber in Città.

Enjoy two participatory workshops presented by Mazda. Try your hand at Japanese crafts such as hand-carving a traditional wood stamp, known as hanko, or practicing the craft of kintsugi, guided by master artisans.

Explore the art of engraving wood stamps. Guided by a Homo Faber Fellowship participant, you’ll engrave a solid wooden cube with one of three kanji representing light, shadow or Ma (the beauty of empty space).
