Shaping metal from space

American artist Tristan Dare works as a bladesmith with meteoric iron, developing techniques that preserve and reveal the material’s distinctive crystalline patterns. During the live demonstration at Homo Faber 2026, Tristan will focus on the final stages of working a blade, carefully hand sanding and polishing the material's characteristic surface.
