The architecture of floral design

Chinese artist Qianchen Jing creates structural compositions from natural materials, combining material experimentation with a Chinese approach to composition. During the live demonstration at Homo Faber 2026, Qianchen will explore the transformation of vine between its dry and wet states, using changes in its flexibility to shape defined forms. Visitors will observe how the properties of the material guide the construction of a floral structure.
