Silent Song 17 brings together pressed and dried sagebrush, lavender, orchids, silver pony foot, white poplar and woolly hedge-nettle. These flowers were arranged alongside organic elements such as eggshell, onion skins and various seeds in their natural colours. Anastasia Kovaleva brings to life Es Devlin’s design through the evocative language of pressed flowers, expressing patience and humility. Just as the monks responded to the bell's call, the composition invites the viewer to sense its vibration through quiet traces of nature.
