Silent Song 5

Silent Song 5 was crafted from finely cut strips of mother-of-pearl arranged in a ripple-like pattern radiating from the centre. A transparent finish creates depth while giving the sense of light flowing across the surface. Jian Yoo interpreted Es Devlin’s design through the language of light. Visual density concentrates at the core and gradually diffuses towards the edges, revealing unseen flows and ephemeral glimmers of movement that resonate through the surrounding space.
