The sculptural language of leather

14/09/2026 | 17/09/2026Exhibited in AN ATELIER ALIVE

Netherlands-based artist Elaine Chan-Perryman works with traditional leatherworking techniques to transform vegetable-tanned leather into sculptural vessels entirely by hand. During the live demonstration at Homo Faber 2026, Elaine will create a vessel through cutting, carving and stitching, working without adhesives or supports. She will allow visitors to see up close how precise construction transforms flat leather into a self-supporting three-dimensional form.
