Stained glass, from design to panel

Belgian artist Katrien Mestdagh represents the third generation of Atelier Mestdagh, where traditional stained-glass craftsmanship is combined with contemporary approaches. During the live demonstration at Homo Faber 2026, Katrien will showcase the stained glass process from the initial design to the finished panel. Visitors will discover glass selection and cutting, leading, soldering and cementing, alongside examples of hand painted glass that illustrate the breadth of this traditional craft.
