Only available to visitors that have bought tickets online and on the day of their booked visit.

FAQ

Yes, Homo Faber 2026 is open to the public, however a paid ticket with a dedicated time slot is required. You can buy your ticket using the "Buy your tickets" button above. Please bring it with you (digital or in print) to gain entry.

While there is no minimum age to attend, children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

1–30 September 2026, 10:00 – 19:00 daily. Last entrance is at 17:00.

Homo Faber 2026 will take place on San Giorgio Maggiore Island, in the heart of the Venitian lagoon, a 5-minute boat ride from San Marco square.

The Stanze del Vetro is a multi-year cultural project dedicated to international artists who have worked with glass throughout their careers, but it is not part of Homo Faber 2026. It is open daily except Wednesdays, and admission is free. See more here: https://lestanzedelvetro.org/.

Only drop-off is allowed at the Homo Faber shuttle dock near Lo Squero. Please be mindful that the shuttle has priority to dock.

The ticket office for the Vatican Chapels is in the foyer of the Sala Carnelutti, to the left of the Basilica di San Giorgio Maggiore. Guided tours are available every day. See here for more information: https://www.visitcini.com/.

With your ticket, you can use the free Homo Faber shuttle that will take you from San Marco-San Zaccaria (Pier B1) to San Giorgio every 30 minutes from 9:30. The last departure from San Giorgio Maggiore is at 19:15. Otherwise, you may purchase an ACTV ticket, Vaporetto n°2 stops at San Giorgio. From Marco Polo Airport: Alilaguna Blue Line or Red Line to San Marco.

A lift provides access to the upper floors. The staircase of Sala del Cenacolo is equipped with a stairlift. To facilitate access, please communicate your arrival at least one day in advance to the email address homofaber@vivaticket.com

Yes. However, parents should take care when manoeuvring strollers in the exhibition spaces.

Pets are not permitted, including small ones. Guide dogs for the visually impaired are permitted, provided they are kept on a leash and wear a muzzle. To facilitate access, please communicate your arrival at least one day in advance to the email address homofaber@vivaticket.com

Sketching is welcomed throughout most of the exhibition, except in areas where signage indicates otherwise.

Smoking is strictly forbidden in both the external and internal areas of the Giorgio Cini Foundation.

Taking photos of artworks and spaces is permitted, but only for personal purposes. The use of flash photography is prohibited, along with the use of photographic tripods and/or extendable selfie sticks. Any use of professional equipment must be authorised by the management.

Please do not bring any large or bulky items such as suitcases, big backpacks, packages or containers. Our lockers are small and limited in number.

To ensure visitor safety and protect the artworks, knives, scissors and any type of metal tools must be handed in at the ticket office.

No waste of any kind can be left at the exhibition. Rubbish bins are placed at the ticket office, toilets and around the gardens.

Your ticket is personal and therefore non-transferable, non-modifiable and non-refundable.

We recommend booking online to guarantee entry at your preferred date and time, to access the free shuttle and to avoid more queues.

At Homo Faber 2026, you will have the opportunity to participate in craft workshops, a dedicated F&B offering, as well as private visits. You can also experience Venice the Homo Faber way, with two exhibitions at Casa Sanlorenzo, 140 artisan workshops and a programme of cultural initiatives. The programme will be unveiled June 2026.

There are a variety of restaurants where you can have a small bite or have a seated lunch. Please note that it is not possible to bring your own food and alcoholic beverages. Bookings for seated lunch open in June 2026.

We recommend allowing at least two hours.
