Precious threads, intricate stitches

British artist Laura Baverstock creates hand embroidered works and sculptures using precious metal threads, by combining various techniques. During the live demonstration at Homo Faber 2026, Laura will reveal the techniques behind goldwork embroidery, working with metal wires and silk threads. Visitors will discover firsthand the dexterity required to stitch these delicate materials into complex compositions.
