Brass, Copper, Steel
Silent Song 13 consists of a layered metal structure, with a reflective base woven from cool mirrored metal surmounted by an elevated radiating form. The base acts like an image chamber, multiplying the upper level into ever-shifting patterns. Shehrbano Salahuddin approached Es Devlin’s design as two systems that become complete through their interaction, like two silent songs producing a third, invisible symphony. As visitors move through the cloister, the panel appears to shift in depth and pattern, inviting slowness and contemplation.
