This sculpture by Thaddeus Wolfe was created using a casting technique for blown glass, in which a glass bubble was inflated into a heated mould. After cooling, areas of the surface were polished to obtain contrasting textures. Abstract in form, the piece is reminiscent of an architectural structure. The contrast between the smooth glassy interior and the rough-edged exterior is a metaphor for the human body.
