This side table was created during Homo Faber Fellowship 2025/26 by straw marquetry maker Kim Jordan based in the UK, and French fellow Sandra Pinto. The table plays with the natural brilliance of straw to evoke a beach on a stormy day. Sand ripples left by retreating waves are conveyed using straw marquetry, reflecting light like wet sand. The sphere and handle are made by UK artisans.
