Parulida Tangled in the Beauty Leaf Tree

This wall hanging by Amy Gross was created as a circular shadow box combining transfer-printed fabric, paper, beads and wire. Layered materials and trapunto embroidery create a richly detailed three-dimensional composition. Inspired by warblers, abundant yet often hidden from view, the work reflects on the many small living beings that sustain the balance of life.
