Silent Song 19

Silent Song 19 was developed as a volumetric hardstone mosaic using semi-precious stones, marble and organic materials. These include agate, yellow jasper, rose quartz, white serpentine, onyx, green onyx, tiger eye and Crema Marfil. Frozen Music translated Es Devlin’s design into a sculptural interpretation of sound waves using hundreds of contoured steps and fluid, hill-like layers to create a structural volume. The micromosaic inserts highlight the complexity of the composition.
