Silent Song 15

Silent Song 15 was cast in plaster using a silicone mould taken from a relief sculpted at a 1:1 scale on a clay printing plate. After retouching, the surface was sealed with a white shellac coating for protection. Spektro Atelier worked on Es Devlin’s design using low relief to create raised surface structures at varying heights and angles that interact with light and shadow. The original drawing remains subtly perceptible.
