Trionfo di Nettuno e Anfitrite

This cameo by Aucella was sketched and hand engraved across an entire shell using traditional burins. Monumental in scale for the craft, it was mounted on a custom marble base with a special threading system. Taking inspiration from Nicolas Poussin’s painting The Triumph of Neptune and Amphitrite, the composition incorporates additional details that remain faithful to the original scene.
