In this course, participants will learn the basic skills to work with clay as well as learn how to form a tea bowl on the potter’s wheel. Anyone who has the curiosity to learn can participate without prior experience. Using Uji clay that has a rough texture but soft to the touch, an Asahi artisan will guide you through the process of tea bowl making with expert tips. You can adjust your hours based on your level as well as choose how many items you would like to create. Your piece(s) will be glazed and fired by an Asahi artisan and sent to your address within two months.
