Making your own plaster moulds and mastering the ceramic casting technique may appear to be a very complicated process. Juliette Vivien has created a 3-hour online course composed of 30 easy to watch and to follow videos, making casting accessible for complete ceramics beginners, as well as more experienced people interested in broadening their skills. There are three modules: making 1-part plaster moulds and flange for simple shapes; making 3-part moulds for more complex shapes; and finally the casting method. French residents have the option to order a kit containing the necessary material to make your first mould. For other countries, you will be guided to set up your home ceramics studio.
