Ceramics class in East Sussex

In their studio in southern England, ceramicists Bill Gowans and Anthea Stewart join forces to offer one-on-one classes, where they teach throwing, hand building, surface decoration, glazing and raku firing. Bill works principally with the potter’s wheel to create bespoke tableware, while Anthea explores ancient techniques, such as raku. The classes can accommodate up to 4 people, preferably a group of friends or family members. The dates must be agreed upon in advance. The price includes the materials, as well as the finishing and firing of the best pieces of the participants for a collection at a later date.
