Introduction to steam bending near Plymouth

Steam bending opens up new creative possibilities for woodworkers, who can start bending wood while using inexpensive equipment. On the first day of this course, Peter Lanyon will teach you how to select timber, make formers and set jigs. You will learn to twist and perform both 2D and 3D composite bends, while exploring both supported and unsupported methods of steam bending. On the second day you will apply the learned skills and techniques to your own personal project. Materials are included in the cost, and Peter recommends bringing your lunch and an open mind.
