Have you inherited an old book that needs some restoration? You will be able to restore it yourself on this course taught by Lapo Giannini and Michiko Kuwata. The book is first disassembled, then each page is dry cleaned, de-acified with special substances and finally restored with precious Japanese paper. Once the book has been pressed, trimmed, folded and pressed again, it is finally sewn by hand. If necessary, the cover can be restored. The course is for individual participants and unfolds over eight lessons lasting 2.5 hours each. The price includes the materials used for the restoration. Reservation is compulsory.
