In this masterclass participants are encouraged to free their creative side, taking bookbinding into the sphere of personal artistic expression. Instruction will concentrate on paper decoration, edge decoration and double (head)end-banding, as well as leather dying techniques and leather as decoration, demonstrated through onlay, inlay, sanded, puckered and relief techniques. In addition, unconventional tooling will be taught with gold and coloured foil. This course is the time to unleash one’s imagination, to play and explore. All materials and tools are provided. Students can bring their own tools and materials if they so wish. The four-day course includes 24 hours of instruction.
