Led by Agnieszka Śniadewicz-Świca, Square Drop is an art laboratory specialising in the design of unique furniture and the conservation of works of art. It is a company with family traditions, as the workshop continues the artwork conservation activities of the workshop that was originally set up Agnieszka's father, Robert, and in parallel, those of the Ars Longa Gallery that was run by her parents. Robert was a woodcarver at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. At Square Drop, the artisans apply the experience acquired over years to carry out conservation works. It has also developed design projects and created new, unique furniture pieces, or so called future antiques.
The idea behind Square Drop is to express personality through objects. The team collaborates with renowned designers and antique dealers from all over the world – from Copenhagen to New York. The Square Drop crew consists of qualified craftspeople, from carpenters and locksmiths, to blacksmiths and polishers. The lab aims to cultivate locality, local materials, and mutual support between artisans and Polish producers of raw materials.
