Bamboo sculpting: a dialogue of past and present

02/09/2026 | 05/09/2026Exhibited in A ROOTED ASCENT

Chinese artist Inkgo Lam uses traditional bamboo craftsmanship to create contemporary sculptural objects. Her practice respects the natural texture and qualities of bamboo while exploring new forms for this longstanding craft. During the live demonstration at Homo Faber 2026, Inkgo will create a sculptural object using traditional Chinese bamboo techniques. Visitors will see up close how the natural material is worked and shaped entirely by hand.
