Knitted gown

This gown by Alaïa was knitted with a sleeveless bodice and flared skirt, incorporating individually cut and hand-sewn silk feathers. Guided by a rigorous approach to construction, the work transforms knitwear into a sculptural medium, in which every stitch contributes to the architecture of the silhouette.
