Exhibited in AN ATELIER ALIVE
Cloth, Paper
This tapestry by Sanaa Gateja was created with hand-rolled paper beads made from discarded paper. The beads were stitched onto barkcloth, a traditional Ugandan textile made from mutuba tree bark. Transforming humble materials into visual meditations on resilience and interconnectedness, the work allows each individual element to retain its own presence while contributing to a larger visual language.
