Under the Same Sun

This panel by Kusofiyah Nibuesa was crafted from layered cardboard and mixed materials, including batik fabric and wooden sticks. The techniques employed comprise paper cutting, folding, printing, weaving, hole-punching and stencilling. Reframing narratives of life in southern Thailand, the work shifts attention from conflict towards coexistence. Butterflies and rockets are symbolic forms expressing resilience and shared aspirations.
