Gold leaf, Paper, Wood
This sculpture by Eric Standley was made from layered, laser-cut paper pinned to an airbrushed wooden base. Gold facets were embellished with 23 carat gold leaf. Combining archival coloured papers including Canson Mi Teintes, Mohawk and Fabriano Tiziano, the piece evokes the ornamental richness and detailing of Fabergé eggs and jewellery.
