Wood, Monuments
This sculpture by Masaya Hashimoto was crafted from roots of fallen trees, sourced and unearthed in the mountains. The form emerged through intuitive carving that followed the wood’s natural grain and structure. Sparked by the moment when the artist saw a piece of wood burst into flame, the work reflects his perception of fire through movement and sound.
