Stone

This piece is an item of wood carving with stone as its motif. After being carved into the form of a stone, the piece is buried in soil, where the action of minerals and fungi causes the surface to discolour and decay. Irregular undulations and mottled markings emerge across the surface, giving rise to a texture coloured grey and black. This piece is made in collaboration with forces of nature.
