
This work depicts a bowl containing a spoon. The upper and lower surfaces were formed separately in sterling silver and soldered together as a double structure. Chasing on the upper surface creates the impression of cutlery resting in a gently curved bowl. Despite its form, no practical function was intended with this piece.
