This copper teapot's body suggests the form of a bird. The body, lid and handle were all completed by hammering, and the entire piece was assembled without soldering, instead joined entirely by cold joint. The interior is tin-coated for practical use. The body, including the spout, was raised from a single sheet of copper, and the tail, which also serves as the handle, was forged from copper rod and riveted to the body.
