Persimmon

Circular copper sheet was raised into a smooth, rounded form and finished with orange and green lacquer to suggest the persimmon fruit as closely as possible. The stem at the top was formed in copper and brass, completed with surface colouring and gold leaf. The scale is deliberately larger than life, which enhances its presence considerably.
