With Rikio & Kazuyori Hikimochi

Nestled in the countryside of the Noto Peninsula, Wajimanuri Studio offers the chance to experience their original Kokemusu lacquering technique firsthand. This technique is characterised by its stunning colour-changing properties, turning from a rich vermillion to a lovely moss green hue over time. Participants will learn how to apply the base coat of their unique lacquerware creation under the guidance of Wajima craftsmen. In addition to lacquering, the experience comes complete with a meal service that features some of Wajima’s local specialties.
