Visit a lampwork studio in Venice

This Venetian experience is for anyone interested in lampworking. In just half an hour Simona Iacovazzi, skilled “perlera” (Murano glass beads maker), offers visitors the opportunity to go deeper into the secrets of this ancient and fascinating type of glasswork. During a visit of her atelier Perlamadre, located in Dorsoduro, at the heart of authentic Venice, Simona tells participants about the historical highlights of Venetian glass beads and illustrates the main traditional techniques of this craft. During the demonstration participants will be shown each phase of the process.
