Artisan Maite Tejedor aims to preserve and recover the cold hand enamelling technique which consists of adding colour to metal pigments dissolved in epoxy resin. This technique has virtually disappeared in modern-day jewellery making. It is a completely manual and rigorous process that can take up to 48 hours to complete, for the enamelled piece to reach the desired finish. In Maite's workshop, participants will acquire the basic skills to glaze their pieces by first applying the colour to the jewellery piece and then placing it in the oven at a low temperature for a glossy finish. At the end of the workshop, the participants will take home the jewellery piece as a souvenir that they made themselves.
