Jewellery master Vladimir Markin is known for his manipulation of materials, particularly titanium, to create nature-inspired pieces, such as flower basket rings and caterpillar brooches. He now invites all to participate in the process of making a brooch under his supervision, while changing the chemical surface of titanium at the workbench. Students will fully immerse in the process, and under Vladimir’s supervision they will use designated technology to create a titanium element, such as an autumn leaf. One thing Vladimir asks at his class: no phones, photography or video. “Only sketches and notes – working this way helps the memory work better,” he says.
