Visit a chair making studio in Chiavari

This visit starts with an explanation of the history of the Chiavari chair, from its origins at the beginning of the 19th century up to the present day. Visitors are shown original historical models and vintage catalogues, and receive information on the main features of the Chiavari chair. The second part of the visit takes place in the workshop where Gabriele Levaggi describes the production process, explaining the machinery and manual steps required. At the end, all participants will receive a catalogue of the workshop's current production. Visits are by appointment only and depend on Gabriele's workload. They cost 120 euros per group on weekdays and 60 euros per group on Saturdays.
