Introduction to fused glass in Cheltenham

with Helen Slater Stokes

Learn kiln-formed glass work

This fused glass workshop is a great introduction to kiln-formed glass work. During the workshop, Helen explains the history and theory behind this glassmaking technique, whilst teaching participants the basics of glass cutting and fusing techniques. Other elements that are covered are the different glass types, using enamels and metal inclusions. Visitors cut, design, and compile their own glass jewellery, window hangings and/or coasters, using a wide range of glass colors and effects. These pieces are then fired overnight and are ready to collect or be posted out to the participants the following day. All materials are included in the price.
