This is an introductory course to constructing wooden houses. Here, carpentry is applied to the manufacture of wooden elements. It is a teamwork course. The workshop will be mainly practical. No previous knowledge is required. The house will be made to scale so that students are able to build the whole house in one week and understand all the steps to follow. From creating a wooden structure for a house, making a technical plan and choosing the right wood to assembling the structure with nails and applying the finishes to the wood, in this 6-day course the work is almost one hundred percent by hand. Students will receive a file on carpentry techniques to take home.
