Bird clips (1965-1969)

These clips by Van Cleef & Arpels were handcrafted in yellow gold. The birds' bodies were engraved to define each feather, contrasting with their smoothly polished beaks and precious stone eyes. Endowed with striking realism and vitality, the pieces reveal the Maison’s refined mid-century gold craftsmanship through the careful rendering of detail and the birds’ alert, dynamic poses.
