2025 Planétarium

This automaton by Van Cleef & Arpels was crafted from precious materials. The piece is animated by a complex mechanical movement developed and assembled in the Maison’s Watchmaking Workshops in Geneva. Additional modules include an hour and minute display, perpetual calendar, 15-day power reserve indicator and an on-demand musical animation performed by a carillon with 15 bells and hammers. Paying tribute to the wonders of the heavens, one of the Maison’s cherished sources of inspiration, this creation depicts the Sun and the planets as seen from Earth. Each celestial body moves at its actual speed of rotation, and the Moon revolves around the Earth, bringing a miniature solar system to life day after day.
