Bird clips (1963-1969)

These clips by Van Cleef & Arpels were handcrafted from coloured gemstones. Sculpted feather details, highlighting the art of glyptic, add depth and nuance to the compositions. An ode to nature’s vibrancy and its chromatic diversity, the pieces convey movement through the sinuous tails and the arrangement of gems. They exemplify the bold colour combinations of the 1960s, as well as the Maison’s stone expertise.
