Silk thread, Velvet, Wire, Paper
These sculptures by Bridget Bailey were crafted through adapted textile and millinery techniques. The materials include wire, paper, velvet and veiling, iridescent fibre and silk thread, as well as bantam quills, honesty seed heads and hazelnuts. Exploring parallels between craft and natural evolution, the works showcase the artist’s innovative application of sculpting techniques beyond their original fashion context.
