Intersection 10; Intersection 11

These statuettes by Sena Gu were crafted using slip cast porcelain and vitrified. Depth and realism were achieved through surface work and over ten additional firings. Depicting lifelike hands overlapping with porcelain forms, the pieces explore the intersection of inner and outer selves. Intersection 10 evokes a bird, capturing a moment when illusion becomes presence. Intersection 11 represents a bird in ascent, conveying the suspended tension between stillness and flight.
