Miniature oil painting of A Yorkshire Home, 1878 by John Atkinson Grimshaw
Fátima Doña Molinero created this miniature oil painting in a scale of 1:12, using yellow, red and gold as the main colours. Working in successive layers from lightest to darkest, she created the painting on synthetic ivory. For the frame, she incorporated two different mouldings: one featuring vine leaves to complement the autumn theme of the painting, and another in the style of a traditional braided rope. She created the frame using digital modelling and 3D printing with manual post-processing, before applying gold leaf using a traditional technique. The finished painting measures 6.8 x 10 cm.
