Compressed History

This earthenware object is in the form of a traditional rounded vessel shape. The making process is a balance between form, surface and structure. Constructed by assembling fragments from the Hennie Meyer's previous clay work, the object draws on the history of humankind reflected in the fragments found in archaeological sites. The finished object then becomes an archive of Hennie's own ceramic making history.
