Pentagon

This sculpture is made with Swiss pine and was created using the cRAKŬ technique. After the form was shaped through carving, the piece was treated with fire, and then coloured. The contrast between the red of the crackled areas and the black of the smooth surfaces intensifies the interplay between solid and void.
