Bercale Cactus

This sculpture is made with Swiss pine wood using the cRAKŬ technique. Once the shape was carved, the piece was treated with fire, then it was coloured. The contrast between the red of the cracked parts and the black of the smooth sections emphasises the contrast between the solid and the void.
