This sculpture is made from Swiss pine using the cRAKŬ technique. Once the form was shaped through a combination of turning and carving, the piece was fire-treated and then coloured. The contrast between the red of the crackled areas and the black of the smooth surfaces amplifies the interplay between solid and void.
Homo Faber Finds is a new service aiming to inspire admirers of craft to connect and collaborate with exceptional artisans.
